I am new to the blogging world, this will be my official first post.

I am not a for-profit breeder, they are more of a hobby for me. Two years ago, my comet goldfish in the pond bred well and when I harvested some water plants for my 100 gallon tank, some fry came in too. One of note seemed well formed and healthy by the time it was 1/4 an inch long. As it has grown, the tail has become bent along the caudal peduncle, the operculum on both sides are not formed right; you can see the gill filaments almost to the gill arch, and it is unable to fully extend it's mouth. It can eat sinking pellets and flakes that have sunk, but has difficulty with blanched leafy greens and the various water plants that I offer. I think he may need to be culled as it seems that the deformities are getting worse with growth, (now 1 1/2 inches long) but I would like a second opinion.
