Gerard, cool info! I remember Two Birds on a Wire, but never bought anything from them. That very well may be where Foster got his original Edos. I doubt they were very plentiful back in the early 90's. Still aren't.

I give a variety. The pellets is Hikari Lionhead (not so much anymore), some skinned peas once a week (more now), zucchini, broccoli, schrimps, tuna, algae-tablets, bloodworms, live food.
Next week I'll experimenting with doing my own gelfood.

see if you can get a product called repashy soilent green. This is a gel food that comes in a powder, all you do is add water and boil, I have had very good results with it and almost exclusively feed my fish this food

Yeah, I have got an eye on that for some time now. We don't have it in out petstores, but I will look in to it on ebay as well.
But if I don't find it I'll make some myself. But all the recepies I've found on the internet seems that they don't have so much nutriens as I would like. Not that I know a lot about nutriens, but they don't have so much stuff in them.

Hi SwedishNankin, would love to see an update on your edo nishiki. How has their head growth come along? Here's my guy, I've been desperately trying to find a female for him but to no avail. Will have to keep looking. 20160421_110055.jpg

One died a couple months ago :( The male. But the female is thriving but no headgrowth so far :(
Your fish is absolutely gorgeous! What a nice curve of the back!
I have a couple of new ranchu-style fishes. Two lionchu sakuras and a calico ranchu(?) and one with... what do you call the original color? Wild-color?
