Can someone help me identify this breed...

    I got this lil fella, Leo, in with a handfull of 'feeder' Comets from the local pet store 7 years or so ago, but with time he developed a lionhead hood. I have had people tell me it's an Oranda, but the tail is a single and the body is much longer.

    Hybrid no doubt. I saw a Shubunkin with a wen last year. He was DQ from the variety but won most unique.

    I must say, that's a very fine looking fish. Its fins and head are very eye-catching.

    Did it mostly look like the other fish when you got it, though? I'm curious as to how those fins developed overtime.

    Single-tailed fancies aren't unusual, but are typically culled very early so you seldom see them for sale.
