Any thoughts on what this might be would be very welcomed - I'd like to be able to treat the problem but have no clue what it is.

I just lost a female blue oranda a week ago that had the same thing going on. Looked likes she was getting telescope eyes, she developed kind of eye sacs around the outside of her eyes and she slowed down. I qt her but she never got better. Since it happened to both eyes and no other fish im not sure what it was. Just a bad genetic quirk?

Thank you for your reply and sorry to hear about your Oranda :( I haven't noticed anything with the other eye - yet. Hopeful that perhaps my guy pulls through. I've added to slime coat to the water to help but otherwise, I guess it's a waiting game. Any other feedback would be great, just in case it's something I'm missing.

Eye stuff is usually fungal in my experience. Hope you get it sorted out. Search the forum via the search bar, maybe you will find something similar to what you are experincing.

Prior to this eye issue, was the fish already a dragon eyed oranda? or did both eyes start to protrude over a period of time
