Pearlscale from starfishes

    I can't speak for the USA or Britain, but in South Africa, those first three pearlscales would retail at around 4 or 5 pounds. So in my case, 100 pounds is VERY overpriced. I even managed to get a hama nishiki for the equivalent of 2 pounds at my local pet store :) I must admit, we get great Chinese imports this side of the world hama nishiki.jpg

    That's good news as Pearlscales have been missing from our recent shows. I only know of one "serious" pearlscale breeder in the UK and unfortunately he doesn't seem to have bred recently.

    I'd have been furious if I'd been sent these at £100 each. Nobody seems to have mentioned that your red and white fish in pic 2 and 3 appears to have no anal fins whatsoever, this fish should have been culled by the breeder and should not be used to breed from. It is a major fault.

    Looks a lot like my pearlscale in the pond. Exact colors almost. My album has a few shots that has it in them. The crown though is all yellow in my case :)
