    Hello everyone,

My tank is cycling, I'm excited; I'm hoping that it will only be a few more days before I'm ready to add fish.

In the meantime I have a couple of questions.

The first one is on cycling. My Nitrite is finally starting to show up... so I was wondering; when my ammonia levels start to go down and my nitrite starts to rise; should I continue to add ammonia to the tank? Or should I wait until my nitrite goes down also?

Water question. - my tap water sometimes is very soapy/filmy when I put it into my gallon jug. Has anyone ever had this problem? I'm not sure what it could be.

Also, how long should I wait when I treat my new tap water with Tetra AquaSafe before I add it to my tank?

    Thanks all.
