I bought a Pond Rx Trace Elements bottle a while ago and never had a chance to use it. I was wondering if other people add vitamins and or minerals in their aquariums. Any experience with these kinds of products? I don't have plants in my aquarium at the moment. But I'm curious to know if these really help with the overall health and growth of goldfish, especially baby tvrs. And is it OK to use pond products in aquariums?

I sometimes soak my frozen food (except when I use the Hikari brand) & freeze dried bloodworms w/ V3 Triple Strength (Vitamins, Amino Acids, & Trace minerals) for at least one hour before feeding or what usually happens is I take out a whole day's feeding in a cup then soak.

It says it will "boast general nutrition, stimulates the immune system, super-charge vitamins & amino acids." I only use when I feel the food needs lacks these things.

I don't use the water additive supplements because I do daily water changes.

* Just be careful with the dosage, pond water additives tend to be highly concentrated:D

Salamat Eros sa advice :)

I just don't want to waste this bottle - I can't remember why I bought it in the first place, lol. I guess it wouldn't hurt to use a little of it.

I only do water change 2x a week - I just keep track of the parameters to make sure my nitrate is in check.
