I found out that one of my fav female start to lay egg.
So i hand-spawn her with my couple male. Then i see 3 more female in other tank start to lay eggs too. So i got a whole lot of egg.
I will try to update with picture everyday of their development on this site.

I started feeding them since yesterday with small amount of daphnia from Patrick.
Approximately around more than 10,000 fries.

Cull cull cull. The only thing that strinks is you can cull TVR much younger than those SVR for tail. The only thing you can cull for early for in SVR is dorsal spikes and deformed sprines....

I want to breed best SVR and develop them. TVR are too much detailing.

I don't like the word "sneak-in". I've always declared the fish I bring into the USA. I've brought Tosakins from Ted Tai's spawns once; it was easier bringing them by driving through the border. In fact, once I could not go through because I had too many fry. But it's a long story which I wrote in the GFSA report some years ago. I was told that I was allowed only 8 fish. I hope this number still stands now.

Fries are getting little bigger. However, the tub where i use to breed them are getting too small. So i have move probably half the amount of fry to my 40G breeder tank. This way i can keep good water condition and also learn their development on Side view profile.
Always foods in the water!

I guess you can import goldfish because you have a commercial permit or the necessary papers for imports. In my case, I'm only a hobbyist; more than 8 fish is considered commercial.

Shipping fish to Canada is possible when it is airport to airport (Method I've used before from Thailand, Hong Kong and the USA). From Canada to the USA, I would not know. On the receiving end in Canada, I needed to clear customs and it was quite easy. I have not tried it lately though. I don't know which is harder now : getting approval from my wife or clearing customs. I think the first one is.

Another way which proved quite easy is to ship fish to a town near the border and the hobbyist just need to go pick up the box and cross back through the border. Declaring the fish at the border bears a little stress, not knowing how the officer will react, but you are so relieved when you've crossed it.

These are the fun part of the Hobby! Enjoy raising the fish, grooming them, and Breed! Just a goldfish life circle! Taking a picture are fun and challenge. My benefit on raising goldfish/keeping them is MONEY!!....if i could make a sale...lol
The best part is "GOLDFISH HUNT". Hard to complete with those Singapore dealer.

Anyway, i started to see single tail and spike! Hopefully, i could start cull them this weekend. I wish i can do it some time during the week, but busy! Im getting tired of pump food for them! Never enough!

Around 200-300 has been culled off since yesterday on my 40G.
Mostly Single tail. They're some spike and slow grow.
I cant see any different between before and after.
I guess i have more than 8000 fries in that 40G.

Paul,

You might want to take a few nice ones (like 50) and give them a separate tank. With 8000 fry in a single 40 gallon tank, you risk stunting them all. Rule no.1 -"Don't put all your eggs in the same basket"
