I got RAnchus that are from 4.5 inch to 5.5 inches. About how much and how often do you feed them? Right now I am feeding them ProGold sinking pellets twice a day, each Ranchu gets around 8 pellets, is that too much feeding and will that leads to swim bladder issues? They are in indoor aquarium with good fitration and temperature is arond 60 degrees.

At 60 F, you should probably go with one or two light feedings a day. No more than what they gobble up in two minutes or less, especially with ProGold as it is very crumbly and messy in my experience.
Here is a compilation of a couple of goldfish/koi feeding guides I found on the web a few years ago that made sense to me: http://docs.google.com/View?id=dczhvxjd_47gjmgm7cq

At 60F I would consider feeding Wheat Germ instaed of harder to digest stuff. I am feeding my fish at 52F wheat germ once or twice a week. At 60F there metabolism is significantly better, tough call...:coffee:

Thanks, wow, I see that I'm overfeeding them right now. I'll cut back but I do see the difference, When I feed then twice daily their stomach and forms grow very nicely (round stomach). When I feed only once daily they look kind of stun. So unfortunately, its catch-22 that not feeding them they won't grow nice, but feeding them too much it'll cause problems. Guess that is why Ranchus are considered Fancy Goldfish.
