As requested by Kathy these are my two lavender orandas.
They are small and maybe 3 months old in these photos. They are around 5 months now.

They are so beautiful! Are they holding the color as they get older? Are you breeding these? Ever since I saw my first lavender I've wished the Oranda would come in this color as they are my first love. Thank you so much for posting the pics!

Sorry to be a pain Wendy, but why are you calling these fish Orandas? They have absolutely no hoods or indeed any sign of hood growth! They could be called Fantails or Ryukin I guess, but Orandas - no - sorry!

Not being a pain at all. This would not be the first time i have purchased fish named incorrectly. However, i have orandas that have not shown any hint of a wen till 5-6 months of age. So until they have reached that age i will keep my hopes up that i have two little lavender orandas. If not...well then two fantails they shall be.
No Kathy i am not breeding them intentionally. Though like many of my fish i am sure i will have offspring here and there.
So far they are maintaining their color but i have only had them a few months and they are small as yet.

They will be beauties regardless but will definately be sending good thoughts that they are indeed Oranda's!
