Just for the fun of it. I understand that both orandas would be disqualified in some Goldfish Competition. However which oranda in your opinion would win if they had been in the same competition?

Both these orandas have the following similarities:
1. Junior Champion Title
2. Black Oranda
3. Own by me
4. Both have 4 inches body when the photos were taken
5. Both pictures are taken by the same professional photographer.

The differences are:
1. The first oranda was bought and the second piece self-bred
2. They are not related
3. The first oranda is male and the second one female.
4. The first piece produces lousy off-springs but the second piece produces good quality off-springs
5. Top piece is Thai bred and bottom is Singapore self-bred.
6. The first piece was Junior Champion at the 1st My Fancy Goldfish Competition 2006
7. The second piece was Junior Champion at the 2nd Fish-Hub Goldfish Competition 2009
8. The first piece is long dead and gone while the second piece is still alive and swimming in my tank as at the time of this posting.

Very simular fish........ I prefer the hood on the bronze fish and the finnage on the black. But again, very close type between the two...

I like the bronze oranda. It is closer in type to the oranda we know and which makes an oranda such a popular goldfish. I like the full faced headgrowth on the black oranda but from there, it's not an oranda: body too short and a tail borrowed from a telescope. Of course, my 2 cents.

Are you sure you want to go through with this HNLim.
Think about it first.

I would pick the second one over the first one due to color, fin shape, and body.

i prefer the head growth on the second fish, it also has better color and finnage
