Hi all,
I am just curious what kind of physical exercise do you do? Some of our New Year resolution is to lose weight, right? For me, I go to gym at least 4 times a week.

Haha, I thought you meant 'what kind of exercise regimen do you have for your goldfish?' and I thought to myself... goldfish treadmills?
I do what any self-respecting fish keeper does - I swim! :D

ya, I thought this would be about fish exercise too..
goldfish treadmill = oversize powerhead on full blast :-P
I run when I can, 2-4 times a week, 3-5 miles.

Guys, I have gained 5lbs over the holidays, so hopefully I can get into that http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y240/deedee1952/th_cd1b6578.gif mode and get these pounds off of me. I use those exercise bands, and my bike when I can.

I strength train 3 days a week........... I am an club manager after all.....
Dan
I lift weights on Sundays and Wednesdays, do at least 30 mins of cardio everyday, usually elliptical, make a point to go as hard as I can the last 5+ minutes. I do Tae Kwon Do on Monday nights and Wednesday nights for 1.5 hours, so after class I do another 30 minutes of cardio since the workout area is in the same building. I am thinking that Saturday is going to be my rest day. Also the huge part, I really watch my snacks. I was working my butt of and not losing because I was eating junk snacks. So instead of chips I have popcorn or an orange. I still cheat a little, but am getting better about it. I want to be able to out last my opponents during sparring on Wednesday since they are all taller than me. We'll see how long this lasts.
I do water changes!:lol::lol:
I remember having 5 tanks and having to do water changes, thank goodness for pythons. Keep it up Shannon and you'll have some real "guns":gogirl:

I was doing that and then decided I wasn't getting anywhere with losing weight..so I tried a personal trainer...PT... personal terrorist?? :confuse:
It made a HUGE difference. What I thought was a good workout ended up being squat..I did also find I had to greatly increase my cardio workouts to make a difference. I had very nicely toned..uh..fat?? :exact:

I change 18 tanks with buckets - 2-3 gallons at a time (free wieghts). I also "farm" which includes slinging hay bales, running large equipment (and all the necessary banging to make it work), built a barn with my hubby last year(almost done),and, this coming year, planting 1000 trees we have on order.
Right now - the snow is the main thing. I managed to bang the snowblower/tractor back into compliance - but have had to shovel by hand the majority of time. We have a VERY long drive - and 12+ inches of snow, recently. Since the local vet cannot always get into the office on big snow days, I hike 3 miles through the forest (shorter as the crow flies) to care for the clinic when the snow is deep or inpassable. I love walking - and walk miles every day. Snow shoes are fun!
Exercise!!!? Why pay for it? The fish and life provide it all. :) :exact:
Your snow picture is beautiful, Guenther!
