I have been just throwing out, but does anyone know why young fish about 2 months would just lay on the bottom on it's side???
Is this a curable situation???
Thanks,

Hey Harris,
Are you feeding any kind of pellet or crumble food? Sometimes they can overeat and when the pellet expands inside them they will die. Survivors may show a protruding "anus" that does not return to normal.
You can feed frozen bloodworm exclusively, and I haven't had a problem with that. Have you ruled out flukes?

I have only seen this on Telescope mores, if which if overfed they lost all swimming ability and some would rupture them selves by over eating and then die. Change foods or slow down:youtellme::youtellme:

Harris, it's going to be messier, but soak that dry food first. One of the hardest things to find is a pellet or crumble that stays together after you soak it.

May not be food, may be a contagious disease. Try not to spread it .

Well, the fish are able to swim and move, but will lay on the side if not disturbed. I did a heavy cull before I posted as I had too many fish. If I remember correctly, they eventually get thin. I never kept them to death....tossed them before then. We shall see how the rest do.
Thanks for the comments.

Hi Harris
What variety and scale group are they? Sounds genetic to me but either way culling is the best way forward.
