I was adviced to use sinking food pellets to feed my Orandas; however, I just bought a big bag of floating pellets and don't want to throw them away. So, here is the question. If I soak the pellets for 30 minutes and smush them before giving them to the Orandas, will this remove the air pocket from the pellets. I did this yesterday and the pellets sank, but I'm not sure if the air pockets remain in the food or not?

I hate soaking pelelts as it washes out all the soluble protiensa nd vitamins, try feeding floating stuff more frequently but much less volume. Indoors floating food is really a bad idea long term:badidea::exact:

The issue of washing out certain proteins and vitamins is rather easily resolved by soaking the food in just enough water to absorb into food and leave no water behind. If you soak your food in a bowl of water the nutrients would certainly be washed out, but this method resolves this

A varied diet is always the best idea, dont get stuck on one food! switch it up:exact:
