Ok, so I feed Hikari Gold (oranda) to all my bigger fish about twice a week to mix up what I feed them. Every single time I do, I wish I hadn't. It makes my tank smell...well like a word I won't post on here. Anyone else having this problem? I have always fed this food and then stopped for abotu a year or two and the last two bags I have bought do this...its getting old b/c my show tank is in my living room and I am tired of smelling it!

That's one of the reasons I do frequent wc. My fish tanks are in the living room and we can't have any bad smell in there.

I just can't get over it! I mean it smells so awful! I have never had this problem before with the food. I also have the lionhead and saki purple and neither of thse make my tanks/tubs stink at all. Well I guess I am glad I'm not the only one! Good thing I dont mind doing wc's!!!

Pinky has some great products and the prices are very good. I have been using EARTH WORM FLAKE, BRINE SHRIMP FLAKE , AND SILK WORM COCOON
FLAKE for some time and the fish arelly go for it, especially the BRINE SHRIMP. Give them a try, they treat you right .

Also, feeding duck weed once a week. I'am able to raise enough each week to give each pool a large helping.

Special THANKS to Gary Hater for the duck weed start.
