I have 2 orandas who are having issues with their wens. They both had very large wens but now have a cottony fungus or something on it which appears to be eating it because the wens have gotten considerably smaller. Here are before and after pictures:
In this first picture, this is how they looked back in December. The ones in question are the redcap in the upper left and the calico oranda below her.

This is a picture of the redcap now:

Here's a picture in which you can see the calico's wen - sorry it's not a better one:

I've done a 75% water change and put the Jungle fungus tablets at the recommended dosage into the water - that's why it looks so green. Does anyone here have any other ideas about what this might be and a treatment for it? Thanks
I'm not sure what's happening here, but this could be your problem.

yes , head growth rot.
strong salt dip and then bath of batrium 160 mg per 10 liter or bath of batyril 15mg with gentalyn 10 mg per 10 liters 3 days repeat 3 times. then back into salted water.
I have had this problem with new arrivals from China and Malyasia and all other treatments ended in death. Only these two worked and then only about 50%.

Where do I find these medications? Is there an easier way - Can the directions be given in gallons rather than liters or ml? Thanks

It was suggested to me that the baby koi in the tank could be doing it. I haven't seen them attack, but it's certainly possible. I plan to move the koi to my pond but right now the water is waaaay too cold since they've been staying in the aquarium which has been kept at about 72.

Michael is correct and you need to begin treatment soon if you hope to stop it. You could print his recommendation, take it to your vet and ask to purchase the antibiotics. You will not find them at a pet store.

Well, I wasn't sure, but I recall reading this on his site, and thought it could be possible.

You DO need to get the koi out, but if there is such a thing as wen rot sounds plausible that could be what is going on too. BUT I have seen a koi do considerable damage to a wen and it wasn't the larger koi, it was a small one causing the problem.
Wonder if oxolinic acid would work..any of you goldfish guru's ever use it ?? Works great on koi with ulcers
