Looking through the posts I didn't find anything on this:

Any thoughts? I've fed it a few times and the fish seem to love it. Pros? Cons?

Just started trying one pack. I am not sure it what the pros are. Hope those with experience can chime in.
Gary,
How are they great? What does it do? Sounds like from what I read, they by itself does not have much nutritional value unless they are loaded with stuff like selcon, etc.
Hope to hear what you and others think.

Your cheaper alternative is freeze dried.

I feed this every now and then, as Gary said, it's a bit more expensive but supposedly it goes through a better "purification" process...a difference in feeding.....8 months and I have yet to see one, my fish get this and San Fransico Bay frozen brimeshrimp...to them..it is all food. neither cloud my water or mess with the levels too much. I don't see anything different in stools or color by feeding the more expensive frozen food either.

I like Frozen brin shrimp for several reasons; BBR can eat it earlier than FBW, I think my fish grow much faster on BS that BW so I like t evariety, lastly I have started feeding it in one large quantity the night of the full moon or a change in the barometer to stimulate breeding.
As the for nutritional discussion on the web and the need to by spirulina fed adult FBS I feel pretty strongly that much of the discussion about adult BS being nothing but empty shells is put out by folks that are pushing the spirulina loaded BS and new dry foods, the discussion should be cenetered around the digestability of the protien. Things like gluten, hydrozilate, etc. are technically prtoien but not very digestible in my opinion.:exact:

I use Hikari frozen bloodworms, they are the cleanest and best IMO.
For mysis shrimp I use Piscine mysis exclusively. Again, they are the cleanest and best.
I like the flat pack of both far better than any cubes. The cubes have lots of water, and unusable stuff. The flatpacks are solid food pretty much.
I chop the bloodworms while still frozen.
