I wanted to share a new sculpture that is a potential candidate as an award at the ARS show this fall. The sculpture(s) I select to send will be mounted to some sort of frosted glass column or pillar which will have Kendal's logo etched/stamped into it. This sculpture is 5-6 inches long.

Thanks everyone! Obviously I'm very inspired by these fish of ours. The glass seems to already possess a watery quality and I find that fish and sea creature sculptures always play on that quality.

I have made several in the past and sold some, kept some and traded some for fish; that was several years ago. Currently I am only making a very limited quantity. If someone is interested in purchasing a sculpture they can PM me and this may influence how many I make in the very near future. The prices are between $100 and $200 (shipping not included) depending on the artistic process & size of each one. As to how this relates to the club..... a percentage (20%) will go toward covering postage for free ARS logo glass medallions to basically anyone who wants one and shipping a bunch to the breeder social for distribution.

BTW- how many people were at the BS last year? I will probably make a special black medallion that signifies attendance at the social, everyone else will receive a brick-red medallion.

Clarification: I will be sending/gifting one or two sculptures to the breeders social. This is the amount of time I would like to contribute. One should be given to "grand champion." The other one can be given as an award or auctioned.

Now everyone has lots of motivation to grow beautiful ranchu!

Very Nice!

I promise to keep them in good condition! It will be on the top shelf!
Now I will just have to wait to put my fish into the competition and claim it! :exact:

Sorry Paul the rules state that this is a non-vendor competition.
Maybe they can open a catagory for vendors.
:panic: I was just joking.

Here is what I find on picture issue. If you are using IE8, you can use the following instruction..

The above post points to a security option in IE8... Tools -> Internet Options -> Security. Select Internet and Click Custom.

See if "Open files based on Content, not file extension" is set to enable or disable. If set to disable, then enable it and check your images again. This does lower security but makes IE8 behave more like previous versions. Didn't recall it because I changed the setting months ago for some reason or another.

You can read the original suggestion here.

What browser are you using? IE8?

I tried IE8, firefox, and opera. I also checked the settings for IE8 but still a no go. I can see everything fine but I have noticed that I cannot see attachments from GlassGoldfish.

Anyways I looked in the album instead and yes very nice indeed. :yess:

I am using IE8, also followed Fred's suggestion, my setting is already enabled, still no pic.

Checked Glassgoldfish's album for pic.
That sculpture is so good, you can see the movement and flow of the fish, amazing!
If I would love to own one, but maybe when my son is older and understand not to play with fragile work of art. :D
