Hello from Sweden

This site looks like a great place to join! By tradition goldfish or anything not beeing "wildtype" is not specially big in Sweden. My fishes are collected over some years from petshops i the Stockholm area. Not show quality but still good fishes.

Wakins has become my favourit type and I plan to breed them for good color, body and skinquality. I've been looking for fukurin in goldfish and now I have found it on my own yellow goldfish.

I like to experiment and find it most interesting to try to understand the genetics and find new ways to "make" beautiful fishes.

I have four red/white wakin in my 300 gallon pond here in frozen upstate New York. I find the wakin to be very hardy and colorful. And lovely viewed from above. I wish more hobbyists in the US would take an interest in them.
