It all started on the 7th January 2011. The center oranda is the one. He was 10 cm then.

On the 4th April 2011, I decided to shift him into a 30 litres tank and use a sponge filter. This was how he look on the 4th April 2011. He is now 15 cm long. This is to prepare him for Aquarama 2011.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is clear water versus green water?

Pardon my ignorance, but what is clear water versus green water?

The debating of fish keeping method base on the water. Some people believe green water can do a lot of good thing for fish keeping (link to green water (http://goldfishkeepers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1428)). Some people (especially HMLim) believe clear water can do the best for goldies.

Unbelievable, but he looks stunningly gorgeous.
I wonder what his food source is & how much. Are you using any kind of circulation pump to keep the water current aggressive for his work out. With out much information about the conditions, I would attribute genetics to this remarkable growth + Awesome grooming. :worship:

Thanks a lot of posting this. Its an inspiration.

I always love how Lim grooms his Orandas.

This guy (the fish) is awesome! It is a cinch for a title. :)

This fish has the champion form. The body is deep and long. Look at the steep angle of the caudal fin, pretty much perpendicular to its back. The caudal fins also spread out like blooming flowers.

What's lacking a bit, imo, is the headgrowth...but I think it will become a non-issue when the fish is older.

Beautiful indeed.
No one here doubts your grooming skills, we all know you are a master. I'm curious to see if you have any pics of the fish you kept in GW, or did you not finish the experiment? well, even if you don't, I still think your grooming skills are amazing. I knew you were doing this, but not that your results would be so definitive and so quick. Just my opinion.
Very Respectfully,
Frank
