I usually get from Brine Shrimp Direct. The prices changes every year depending on how the harvest season was.

Hi Gary

I'll be at the Aquaculture meeting next week and will look for the best deals.

I'm sure you can get it for less if you buy by the case.

Are you able to take a case?

I can only use about three cans.

Hey man, look for Adam, he and his wife are going, he goes out on Sunday and comes back on Thursday. He will be in the virus section for sure. Thanks

Steve,

Yes, I am a firm believer in Brine Shrimp direct, but have had to extend my cans by using APR and decapsualted brine shrimp for 50% of my feeding. This is working but I am down to tow cans of BS and the Ranchu are not moving until next month.

A guy gave me some of those decapsulated brine shrimp saying they take all the headache out of feeding fry. I'm not so sure. I looked as some fecal strands under the scope and there were decapsulated cysts which were still intact. Maybe they are finally digested after being re-eaten (is that a word?) several times and maybe some/many are digested on the first pass. But, I'm not impressed.

I passed those up after the first week or so. I think bang for the buck it's really hard to beat live bbs.

The low quality eggs go into the non-hatching decapped eggs.

We decap at work and hatch live. It speeds things up when it's time to collect the shrimp and there are no shells.
