It will be a lot of work, but I'd be up for it. Our local club hosted the ACA (American Cichlid Association) national convention a couple years ago. It was really a good time.

Do you have a place in mind for this "Goldfish Only Competition"?

I have been thinking for long time that one day I would like to host a goldfish only show at my place. My building is just next to community park where I can get permit to host a show. I can provide water, fish tanks, fish bowls, air-pump, air stone, and other thing that need to host a show. The only thing I might need is just a tent where I can rent.

There are a brand new Marriott just almost finish their construction which I believe they will have a "grand opening" very soon. This brand new hotel is just a block away from me(1 minute walk). There are also 3 more hotel that only 5 mins from me. So hotel will not be a problem and very close to show site. Also, there are parking and many restaurant in town.

I think there are already Goldfish Competition in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, and Wisconsin. I think it would be nice to host a show in somewhere close to New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, and Connecticut. By the way, my place is in Pennsylvania..lol 3 hrs from New York, and 3 hrs from Maryland. I think we can see a new face and new members here!

For the convention, we are planning Cincy for it. Why? Need a group of guys in the same general area to do the work...

I am doing a AGA goldfish only spring breeders show/auction in April in Chesterfield, IN. This will be UK style gf show. My plan is to do it as an annual event to take the place of the Indy gf/koi show since there a some issues that have come up with doing a show with that koi club. Plus this is a step in taking the AGA club to the next level. I am also committing to this instead of a betta show, a tough choice after a decade of hosting betta shows...

Now if you want to host a show at your place similar to this.. Contact Pete and go for it! But you will need to be willing to work as a host..
