The past week here in Wisconsin has been rather windy. I have noticed my pond is down about three inches,is this normal?(pond is a 275gal preformed) Or should I be looking for a leak?

It probably is evaporation. I have a 300 gallon pond, and the water level will often go down a couple of inches depending on the weather. I doubt it is a leak. The only other idea I have for you is this: if you have a waterfall, the liner might have a leak. That happened to me one year. The water was running under the waterfall liner and around the stones. Ponds are GREAT!!!

Your evaporation rate will be less than 1/4 inch per day under extreme conditions and less than 1/8 inch per day under average conditions.

Only other thing is if the pond was heated water and the wind was cold. It could cause quicker evap, but I still don't think that much..
